Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account. Email address, optional name and avatar from a sign-in provider, and the timestamp when you attest you are 18 or older.
• Desk activity. Threads, messages, which pal you talked to, and credit ledger rows (spend and pack grants).
• Payments. Stripe processes card details. We store session and event identifiers needed to credit your jar — not your full card number.
• Technical logs. IP address, user agent, and coarse request metadata used for rate limits, abuse review, and keeping the Service up.
• Safety events. If a message is blocked, we log a category, a hash, and a length — not the full harmful payload when we can avoid it.

2. How we use it

We use this information to:

• Sign you in and keep the prepaid jar accurate.
• Stream replies from Atlas, Scout, or Quill.
• Prevent abuse, enforce the Acceptable Use Policy, and apply rate limits.
• Meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
• Understand product reliability (for example Vercel Analytics).

3. Who we share with

We share information with processors who help us run Bix: hosting and edge (Vercel), database (Neon), authentication email (Resend), payments (Stripe), and the model provider behind live replies. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent serious harm.

4. Retention

Account, ledger, and thread data stay until you ask us to close the account or we delete it as part of a suspension. Safety logs are kept only as long as needed to review abuse. Payment records follow Stripe and bookkeeping timelines.

5. Your choices

You can sign out at any time. To correct an email, export what we hold, or delete an account, write hello@usebix.com. Some records (for example a paid invoice) may need to be kept.

6. Children

Bix is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we will close it.

7. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our processors run.
