Terms of Use

1. Who may use Bix

You must be at least 18 years old. We ask you to attest that age at sign-in and again the first time you open the desk. We store the time of that attestation on your account. If you cannot attest, do not use the Service.

2. Prepaid credits, not unlimited seats

Bix is a prepaid chat product. You buy credit packs (“snacks”). Each model turn spends credits from a shared jar. When the jar cannot cover the minimum spend, the Service hard-stops and does not call a model. Credits are not a subscription, not a seat license, and not an all-you-can-eat plan.

• Unused credits do not convert into unlimited usage.
• Packs are one-time purchases metered through Stripe.
• Starter snacks granted on first sign-in are a welcome gift, not a promise of ongoing free usage.
• Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not redeemable except where a law requires otherwise.

3. What Bix is — and is not

Atlas, Scout, and Quill are AI chat pals. They are software, not people. Output can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. The Service does not provide medical, legal, tax, or other licensed professional advice. Do not treat a reply as a substitute for a qualified human.

4. Your account

Keep your sign-in email under your control. You are responsible for activity on the account. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy were broken, if a payment is reversed, or if we need to protect other users or the Service.

5. Payments

Checkout is processed by Stripe. We credit your jar after a successful checkout.session.completed event. Chargebacks or failed payments may lead to a debit of the related credits and, if the jar would go negative, a hold on the account.

6. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Illegal use, scams, child sexual abuse material, weapons assistance, malware, and credential theft are prohibited. We may block obvious banned requests, log a category without storing the full payload, and close the account.

7. Intellectual property

We own Bix, the pals, and the Service. You keep rights in the prompts you submit, and you grant us a limited license to process them to operate, secure, and improve the Service. Model output is provided as-is. You are responsible for how you use it.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, Record of Sale, LLC disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on model output. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in the three months before the claim.

9. Changes and contact
